HUD Seismic Assessments
Seismic assessment reports, or probable maximum loss assessments (PMLs), provide estimates of building damage in the event of seismic activity. These are conducted to conform with HUD requirements, to inform clients of any necessary seismic retrofits in order to mitigate potential earthquake damage and to provide safer multi-family housing.
These projects are almost always confidential, so VIE cannot provide detailed information about the specific HUD projects we have done seismic assessments for. However, we have saved our clients millions of dollars with our thorough inspections that include areas others may overlook in order to ensure that our reports are based on a comprehensive look into each HUD property.
To learn more about our experience with HUD seismic assessment reports, please don’t hesitate to contact VIE Engineers. We take pride in making structures safer, always conform to HUD requirements, and pay close attention to project-specific criteria. We look forward to hearing from you.
